Therapy Aide
Job Responsibilities
Therapy Support:
- Assist Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists in delivering therapy services aimed at improving patients’ quality of life.
 - Support therapists in transferring, lifting, and wheeling patients safely within the organisation.
 
Clinical Education & Coordination:
- Assist the Head of Department in coordinating clinical education programmes and activities for therapy assistants.
 - Participate in the orientation and mentoring of new Therapy Aides.
 - Guide and orientate volunteers attached to the Rehabilitation Department.
 
Therapy Activities:
- Conduct and lead group exercise sessions independently.
 - Perform outcome measure assessments under the guidance of therapists.
 
Quality & Safety:
- Assist the Therapy Aide In-Charge in conducting clinical audits.
 - Report all accidents or potential hazards promptly to the reporting officer.
 
Equipment & Housekeeping:
- Responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and proper housekeeping of therapy equipment and facilities.
 
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Possess a Skills Certificate in Therapy Assistant / Aide course from a recognised institution.
 - Minimum educational qualification of GCE 'O' or 'N' Level.
 
Experience:
- Experience working in a geriatric setting, long-term care, or nursing home is an advantage, though not mandatory.

 - Demonstrates compassion and the ability to relate well to patients from diverse backgrounds.
