Senior Medical Social Worker

Job Responsibilities

• You will have to provide medical social service to patients and families to help them cope with social, psychological, financial issues resulting from an illness.
• Providing social work based intervention, counselling and emotional support and other assistance to patients and families.
• Supervising junior social workers and undergraduates undergoing fieldwork placement.
• Supervising the work of social service assistants.
• Planning, organizing and coordination of support programmes

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Social Work (or with a major in Social Work).
• Practising Social Worker Accreditation by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong social casework intervention skills.
• Effective counselling abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
• Mentoring skills (where applicable).
