Senior Executive, Safety
Job Responsibilities
This role involves comprehensive safety management, risk assessment, and compliance oversight within the workplace. You will conduct inspections, develop safety policies, investigate incidents, and ensure adherence to Workplace Safety and Health regulations and industry best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular workplace and environmental inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices
- Develop, implement, and review workplace safety policies, procedures, and protocols
- Investigate incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, and near-miss events
- Analyze safety data and reports to identify trends and recommend preventive measures
- Identify, assess, and evaluate workplace risks and hazards
- Develop and implement effective risk control measures
- Conduct safety induction programmes for new employees
- Deliver safety training and awareness programmes for staff
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and statutory requirements
- Conduct internal safety audits, reviews, and compliance assessments
- Coordinate, develop and implement emergency response plans
- Provide secretariat support to safety-related Committees
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Facility / Operations Management or related field
- Relevant certification (eg. OSHA)
- At least 2 years of experience in safety management
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Experience in healthcare would be an advantage
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Power Point and Excel
- Good command of English both verbal and written
