Principal Occupational Therapist

Job Responsibilities

• Provide specialised occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation for patients with complex needs
• Maximise patients’ functional independence and quality of life through evidence‑based interventions
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including participation in case conferences and discharge planning
• Deliver high standards of clinical care with accurate and timely documentation
• Supervise, mentor, and support occupational therapists, therapy aides, and students
• Contribute to service development, training programmes, research, and quality improvement initiatives
• Assume unit head or service‑in‑charge responsibilities when required
• Uphold professional standards in accordance with AHPC guidelines
• Demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and commitment to service excellence and patient‑centred care

Job Requirements

• Recognised diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent with relevant qualifying examinations
• Post‑graduate qualification or professional certification is an advantage
• Registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) with a valid practising certificate
• Membership with the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT) is strongly encouraged
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Senior Occupational Therapist
• Proven experience in mentorship, supervision, and leadership roles
