Operations Manager, Contract
Job Responsibilities
You will support the Executive Director (ED) to ensure smooth operations of our Ang Mo Kio Nursing Home (NH) and Senior Care Centre (SCC). You will provide and update business plans for SCC from time to time. You will also need to provide timely statistics to stakeholder and submission of information to Ministry of Health (MOH) or Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). You are expected to maintain and implement appropriate corporate policies, procedures and controls for operational processes. You will also supervise a team of Operations Executive, Facility Technician and Assistant to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist the ED in planning and execution of annual work plan and budget for NH and SCC.
- Work closely with other Heads of Departments (HODs) to ensure the smooth operations of the facility.
- Manage external vendors for the provision of supplies and services in accordance to the contractual agreement (Facility, Equipment, Security, Linen leasing and laundry, Housekeeping, Meals, Landscape, Pest Control, Waste management, Transport and etc).
- Work with Operations & Facility Management (OFM) for effective and efficiency management of all external vendors.
- Perform the role of as Site Incident Controller (SIC) of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT), lead the Response Team to perform Incident Management, Fire-fighting Response and HazMat Response, and to maintain and update Fire Evacuation Plan, and conduct fire drills as required.
- To provide management dashboard, reports, timely statistics, data analysis and trending to stakeholder and submission of information to MOH and AIC.
- Work with Nursing Lead, Therapist and Finance Lead for all audits and surveys, and be the point of contract
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service and utilisation of SCC.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained for their role and work with staff to define development plan for them.
- Manage clients/residents and next-of-kin’s feedback, works with Quality Service Management (QSM) when required and update ED.
- Constantly identify areas of improvement and be involved in Quality Improvement, Technology and Innovation projects when required.
- Liaise with HQ Corporate Communications and assist the ED to manage internal communication.
- Any other duties as assigned by the ED. Be aware that some activities related to the Home may require voluntary work attendance outside normal hours.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business or Science related field, SIC/CERT Certification and FSM Certification will be advantage.
- Preferably at least 3 years supervisory experience in managing a revenue centre / business unit preferred.
- Experience as leader in process improvement projects and/or innovation and technology projects would be advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Good command of English both verbal and written.
- Meticulous and pro-active and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic and passion for value-adding to elderly lives and client interaction.
- The position is a 6 months contract for service.
